Travel to NMBU, Aas
Taxies in Norway are expensive, so keep to public transport if you can. Tickets are cheaper if you buy them at the ticket machines before you enter the train, bus or tram.
Oslo – Aas/Ås
Trains run once an hour between Oslo and Ås and take 30 minutes. They leave 18 past every hour from track 9 towards Moss, and the stop is Ås. You can buy tickets on the train, but they are cheaper if you get them from the ticket machines. Get return tickets if you can.
Airport – Oslo or Airport – Ås
Between Oslo Centre and the airport, there are fast trains (20 minutes) every 10 minutes. This is called flytoget.
There is also an airport bus, Flybussekspressen, number F11 that goes directly between Oslo Airport Gardermoen and Ås (Korsegården) and takes approximately 50 minutes. You can ask the driver to call a taxi for you from Korsegården, which is only a 15 minute walk from the campus.
If you are travelling to or from Rygge Airport, the same airport bus in the opposite direction also goes from Korsegården.
Ås station – campus NMBU
There is a bus 510 at Ås which goes to the university, which is only 2-3 stops from the station. Your train ticket gives you a free transfer on the bus, which takes a couple of minutes, but you might have to wait 15 minutes for it. The bus leaves from the other side of the train station when you arrive from Oslo, next to a school building. Cross the train track to get there, and then cross the street.
